Another Update

So I've been working and sleeping lately and that's about it. Last night I finally figured out why full-time employees hate CPs. They don't do anything and when you ask them to they throw hissy fits. I was closing line last night and I had 4 preclosers with me. Vanessa and Hope were helpful and did what I asked them to help me with and never questioned it. Janet I had to continually ask to do the same thing over and over again and again. Highly obnoxious. Kevin, I asked to do two extremely simple things and he got pissy about it. I was not happy. But I was told by one of the full time employees that I wasn't like the other CPs because I actually work and don't throw fits about it. That made me fell happy.

Well, I'm working today and tomorrow and then I have 2 days off. Yipee! On Wednesday I'm going to Animal Kingdom with Wenn who's never been before and on Tuesday night I'm going to see the 4th of July fireworks at Magic Kingdom with one of my friends since I'm working on the 4th of July and the special fireworks are being shown tonight and Tuesday but I'm working tonight.

That's my life recently. Byes!

Animal Kingdom

Yesterday was my last experience with Bree at a park she has never been to. She has now officially been to all the Disney theme parks. I'm sure we'll go to them all again and again but it will never be her first time again.

Anyways, yesterday we were at Animal Kingdom for about 6 hours. It is probably the longest we have spent in a theme park on a day we are not working since we've been here. I had a lot of fun. Me Bree and 2 of our friends came with us. We rode Dinosaur, Mount Everest, The Safari, saw It's Tough to Be a Bug and wandered the jungle trek next to the safari. We also watched the parade which Bree and I were less than impressed with. But that's ok.

It rained twice yesterday. Once it poured for about an hour. We took refuge in Pizzafari and ate a late lunch/early dinner. The next time it rained, it began while we were riding Mount Everest. If you have never experienced it raining on you while riding a roller coaster, don't do it! The rain flying at you at an even more accelerated pace than normal hurts a lot. So just don't do it.

Well, now I have to go to work for 11 hours. I can't decide whether or not I love or despise these long days...

Working

I have nothing big to report. I've been working a lot. Saturday I worked at night and hung out with Bree all morning/afternoon. Yesterday I worked for 11 hours. The funniest thing that happened at work yesterday was Bree walked by with her glow cart and when I saw her I started waving while jumping up down yelling "Bree!" I was very excited to see her. There weren't any guests in Casey's so it was ok. The people around me laughed though.

Tomorrow and Wednesday I have off. It's fabulous! 2 days off!!!!!!
Tomorrow Bree and I are going shopping at the Cast Connection which is a discount store for Cast Members that is a better store than Company D because it has merchandise from the parks we can buy at discounted rates. Then she and I will go to costuming so I can trade out my costumes. After that we are going to the Magic Kingdom for a little bit to try and do everything we haven't done yet. I like the whole not doing everything at once thing. Much more relaxing in regards to the park. Then at some point she and I have to go to WalMart.

Wednesday a group of friends and I are going to the Animal Kingdom. That is the last park Bree has never been to. It's going to be so fun.

Well, that's all for now. Byes!

Assessment Leads To Clubbing

On Friday I had my assessment for cash training. If I passed it means I can run the cash register along with anything and everything else at Casey's. If I failed it means that I needed more training. I passed. Yay me!

As a result of me passing my assessment I got off work early. I wandered around the park and met my roommate Bree at Pinocchio's to have a snack because I hadn't seen her in a few days and I was feeling majorly roommate deprived. So I got to hang out with Bree for a few minutes and it made me very happy. I also got to talk to John on the phone and it made me smile because I haven't talked to my brother since I've been down here.

After Bree went to work I came back to the apartments to meet up with a friend so we could wander around Epcot for a few hours. I love the fireworks at Epcot. There was a little girl sitting behind us that was entertaining. Everytime the fireworks paused she would ask "Are the fireworks done now?"

Once Epcot closed we left and came back to the apartment for dinner. We hung out until Bree, Beth and Wenn got back so we could all go out to PI. Beth and Wenn literally screamed in excitement when they found out that I was going clubbing with them. I smiled and laughed at them because it was such an entertaining reaction. We all went out to a club called Motion and danced for a few hours. I had a lot of fun at the club and I think that we are probably going out again next week. Byes!

Cash Training

Today was an easy day at work. I started cash training today and I will get assessed on my knowledge tomorrow. It is such a simple cash register to learn. It did kind of make the day drag by just standing by a cash register for 4 hours but o well. The only bad things about today were I spilled tea on my computer keyboard this morning on accident so now the keys are stiff and sticky and I had to get up early after only sleeping for about 4.5 hours; that however I wouldn't change because I was hanging out with friends and I wouldn't give that up even for more sleep.

My trainer is a fun guy but o my he has way too much energy early in the morning. He complemented me by saying that I was a highly intelligent young woman. I know that I am because people tell me this all the time but it's nice to hear it from someone not realted to me.

Yesterday was my day off. It was fabulous. I slept in, went out to lunch with 2 of my roommates and then hung out with one of my friends all day watching movies and playing Smash Brothers. Once my roommates got home, we played Catch Phrase with them today. That was fun.

Well, I don't have any stories again, so that is going to have to hold everyone over until there is something larger to report. Byes!

Update

So, last night at work I got to be Stocker 2 again. That position kind of hurts. I have to lift shovels full of ice up to my shoulder to dump into a bin for edible ice and then I have to scoop the ice into 2 of the soda machines and then for the 3rd machine I have to lift the bin above my head, typically with someone else's help, and dump it into the last machine. Now I am using muscles that I had forgotten that I had. Last night I felt like I had no arms or legs left.

Nothing really interesting happened at work. It was really slow which means that there are no stories. Sorry. I'll update later once I have some. Byes!

Possibility for Me

I had a 10 hour shift today which was pretty easy.

The first 3 hours was a CP Welcome Session where I got all kinds of fliers and stuff, watched some videos and got paid for it. At this welcome session we talked to one of our managers about all of the possibilities open for us. One of them is trainer, one is coordinator and the other is GT. I found out that I may be able to get any one of these positions. I told my manager that I am interested in GT. This is the general teller position. It's like an introductory accounting position. That position will aid me in getting a professional internship in accounting or finance and it will look phenomenal on a resume.

Then I got an hour long break before starting my real shift. I got to be in charge of the kitchen again for 4 hours and then I worked out front for 2 hours. I helped one girl with closing because she wasn't sure what to do since she hadn't done closing after her training was over. Yay for me being able to help.

I decided that I am going to drop my class. Several reasons behind this are as follows: 1. It's more like the human resource management class that I've already taken, 2. Customer service really isn't covered in this class and there may be a class offered later in the year focused solely on customer service, 3. My only "day off" is the day of my class which doesn't count as a day off, 4. I work only closing shifts which means at the earliest I'm home by 2, 5. I really need a day off that is in all actuality a day off where I can catch up on sleep because I am close to burnt out and I refuse to be burnt out since I want to stay here, 6. I graduated so I don't really need the class.

I'm sorry if this disappoints anyone (especially Mom or Dad) but right now I just need to get used to my new sleep schedule and work schedule before trying to add in a class. I have been thinking about this since last week and I just have to do this.

That's all I've got for now. Love you all!

Work Tonight

Tonight at work was fun. It felt like I was in charge of the entire kitchen for a while.

I started off as Stocker #2. This means that I make sure that everything in the front is stocked. I had to fill the ice and let me tell you, if I have to keep doing that there is no way that I will continue to have no upper body strength. That lasted for 3 hours.

After my break I had to do the job called Fries 1 which means I make the fries and the corndog nuggets. The girl doing Fries 2 drove me insane. She cannot handle stress or busy periods well. She was flipping out and I had everything under control. I was also bossy to the people making hot dogs because we were busy and they had no idea what they were doing or how many to make. This woman Yovana told me that I was really good at my job. Coming from Yovana, this is one of the biggest compliments I can possibly get at Casey's. Yovana is a quiet woman, quick and extremly efficent at her job. That seriously made my night.
On top of that I felt like I gained the respect of one of the coordinators who I am pretty sure doesn't like most of the people that work at Casey's. Go me!!

For the last hour of my break I was working the front covering Toppings Piano. I have only one story from that. There was a little boy who had a glow wand and was playing with it. When he looked at me, I asked him if he was a wizard. He shook his head no so I asked him if he was a magician, like Merlin. He smiled and said yes. I told him that I loved Merlin. Then I asked if his wand would light up and turn colors (I knew it would but it was off when I asked). He didn't say anything but he turned it on for me. Afterwards he went and told his grandmother about it. She smiled at me and that made me happy.

Well, that's all my news for now. So I'm going to watch Friends and go to bed before my 10 hour shift tomorrow. Byes!

Last 2 Days

Friday night at work:
So last night kind of sucked at work. I was in the back of the house all night until close. I hate the back of the house because I don't get to see guests so I don't get to have fun stories about my interactions with them.
The only funny guest story from yesterday was one that talked to my coordinator Carlos. The guest asked him, in all seriousness, "The Grand Slam All Beef Hotdog, that's vegetarian right?" It's an all beef hotdog. No it is not all vegetarian. It took everything that Carlos had not to be rudely sarcastic about that.
Closing last night was terrible!!!! I was supposed to help close the front of the house. The reason it sucked was nobody knew what they were doing. Freaking nobody!!!!! They all trained with me so I know that they were taught. So I got to do most of the work while showing them how. Then I helped in the back of the house because my friend Sara was closing back there and she had to close the warmers. Closing the warmers means getting down on the floor basically to close the bottom parts of the warmer. Sara has back problems and has issues bending down so low. I told her I would do it because obviously getting low to the ground is not a problem for me.
My sad news of last night is that it was the last night that Carlos worked his last shift at Casey's yesterday. He is my favorite coordinator and he's gone after I've known him only 2 weeks. :(

Yesterday before work was fun though. I went out for lunch with Abby and Bree and Nicky. On the way back from lunch and the post office to mail presents to the cousins, some jerk decided it would be fun to tailgate me. Problems with that: 1. It had just poured so the roads were wet so speeding is a bad idea, 2. the light had just turned red so I had to stop, 3. Once the light was green everyone was going slow because the roads were wet, 4. I was in the far right lane which is the slow lane anyways. Well, this guy couldn't get around me for a bit and once he did, he threw a something, I'm assuming it was a cup with some beverage in it, at my car. He threw this over his passenger to hit my car. We all laughed because it so ridiculous.

Today at work:
I was supposed to work for 12 hours today but my body decided that it hates me and made me sick. I hadn't really eaten anything so it rejected everything that I drank. Since I work at a food place I had to be sent home. So instead of 12 hours, I got about 5. :(
Good news about today! I got a Great Service Fanatic card today. That means that I get a good review on my record and I get entered into a drawing for some prize or another. That made me happy. I got the card because I am always within Disney Look guidelines. Go me.

So, now that I am home and showered, I am eating chicken noodle soup that Wendy made for me because she is amazing and she loves me and we are watching Pete's Dragon. Yay for things that can't make me sicker.

Well, that's all for now. Tomorrow is Father's Day and I hope that my Dad likes my card that I sent him and that my Mom hasn't lost the gift that I sent home with her for Daddy. Byes!!

Picture

For those of you who don't have Facebook, here is a picture of me in my Casey's costume that my roommate Bree took for you!

P.S. This is a view of my portion of the bedroom in our apartment, not Casey's...

Magic Kingdom Day

Yesterday was a pretty good day for the most part. The first part of the day was bad.
Abby, Bree and I were woken up by people barging into our apartment, blowing a shrill whistle and screaming "Inspection!". It made us mad because the people doing our inspections know that we have late hours at work. None of us got more than 7 hours of sleep as a result of them. Not happy.
But to make it better, Bree and I went to the Magic Kingdom before work and just walked around because Bree still doesn't feel like she knows our park that well. We walked the entireity of the park. We rode the Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Mad Tea Cups as well as seeing the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Mickey's Philharmonic shows. Every other ride had a line of 50 minutes or more. We decided it wasn't worth the wait since we would be here for 7 months. We can ride everything when there are shorter lines.
Bree and I also came up with a plan B for the end of our program. She and I are both trying for the Professional Internships but these are extremly competitive. So we decided that if we didn't make it, she would drive home to Maryland with me and we would tour D.C. for a few days. After that I would fly out to California with Bree because she has this insane fear of flying. She lives close to Disneyland so while I was at her house I would go tour Disneyland with her. I think it's a great plan B. Who needs to figure out their lives immediatly anyways?
Plan A is if we get the Professional Internship we are going to live together, possibly with 2 of our other roommates who are also trying for the Professional Internships. Bree and I also decided that for the Professional Internship we would apply to both DisneyWorld and Disneyland. Better chance of success that way.

Work yesterday was horrifyingly boring. Normally we get rushes before and after both nighttime parades and before and after the fireworks. We got a rush before the first parade and that was it. The rest of the night hardly anyone came in. On top of that, we were amazingly overstaffed. There were 5 or 6 new trainees and there was an anticipated attendance of 50 thousand guests. But it rained twice, one of those being a terrible thunder and lightning storm. So people ran away.

I got a package from my mom today. Yay! She loves me; she sent me a hurricane prepardness kit. It made me smile. We are already keeping lots of water bottles in our apartment. But I'll go buy more just to make her feel better. Love you Mommy!!

Today, I am taking a friend from work to WalMart so that she can get food. Then we will go to the post office so that I can send Mik, Sofie, Lexie and Mantha their gifts that I bought. After the post office, Bree, Nicky (friend from work mentioned above) and I are going to Quidoba for lunch. It's like Chipotle only I like it better and it's really close to our apartment.

Well, that's all for now. Byes!

A Better Day and First Day of Class

So yesterday at work was kind of slow. But that was Ok. There were 2 cute incidents that occured. The first was while I was being greeter at the front of Casey's. A little girl was waiting in line with her mother and father and she turned around to see me standing there smiling. So she came over to show me her prize for the day. She had gotten a large-ish stuffed Stitch. She was so proud of it! I told her that now she could be Lilo because she had her own Stitch. She smiled the largest smile I have ever seen because I was so happy with her. Her mother thanked me, which made me happy. Apparently I'm doing my job well.
The next thing that happened was a little girl and her mother came in while I was being a filler. The little girl had obviously been to the Bibbity Bobbiti Boutique. My cashier Angela, another filler Mesheka (I'm not sure if I spelled her name right) and I all curtsied to this little girl in a Belle costume. She bowed back and walked off while her mother continued to order. I looked over to where the little girl had gone and she was practicing her custseys. It was so adorable!!!
Before work yesterday, Bree and I were extremly productive. We woke up late at 11:30, went to the grocery store, found Bree's bank so she could finally deposit her paycheck, then we came back and did our laundry, cleaned the apartment a little bit and watched Friends. Bree also told me that she felt like we had been roommates for years. That made me happy. We also decided that if we both get the professional internships we are going to live together along with Beth if she gets one too.

So, today was my first day of class. It was hard to get up because I hadn't gotten back from work until after 2 so I only got about 3.5 hours of sleep. But I have a friend in class with me which makes it better. And the class will be interesting too. The first class was 2 hours of introductions all around, half an hour of break and 1.5 hours of learning. It will be good.

Well, that's all for now. Byes!

Relaxful but Busy Day

Yesterday was so much better than the day before. Lots of fun stuff occured.

For the first half of the day I stayed at home and read my book. I'm almost done so I'll probably finish that today.

At work it was much more fun than the previous day. The first 3 hours flew by, then there was my break. While on my break I got to see Tinkerbell. That made me happy.
I worked in the back of the house for the first half of my shift and then I worked the front for the last half.
While working the front lots of fun things happened. First, I made Angela, one of the girls I work with, dance with me while the parade was going by because the music playing was Once Upon A Dream. Next, this little boy came up to talk to me since no one was in my line. He was telling me that he bought a Stitch costume and asked if I wanted to see it. I told him "Yes!" so he ran over to his mother to get the hand from the costume to show me. He put it on and ran back over to show me. I told him "That is SO cool!". There was a huge grin on his face and he ran over to his mom again where she asked if he scared me. He laughed and said no she thought it was cool! That put a happy smile on my face. I love little children.
Next, I saw a guy from school. His name is Robert and he always came into the Grill for dinner so I saw him almost every night. I waved at him because, again, I had no one in my line. So he came over to talk to me. He had a bewildered expression on his face because he obviously not expecting to see anyone he knew at DisneyWorld, especially someone from Milligan. He asked how I got a job at DisneyWorld, so I told him that I applied online and they told me come work for me. That was pretty cool.
Well, that was all that happened yesterday. So now I am going to watch Friends, do my laundry, read my book and chill until work tonight at 7:30.

Sunday

I had an eleven hour shift yesterday. It dragged by. That was very sad. But I still had fun. I met more new people and we had fun talking and teasing everyone.

After work, one of my friends, Steven, picked me and Bree up from work so that we could partake in roommate pasta night quicker than if we rode the bus home. Once we got home and I opened the door I found that my roommates had rearranged our apartment and bought fun decorations for the living and dining room. Our apartment looks much better now. I love it.

Pasta night was at 2 am. It was dinner for me and Bree. We also had cupcakes! Yay-ra!!!! My roommates love me. I got cookies the night before and cupcakes last night. It was so much fun. I didn't go to sleep until about 3:30 but it doesn't matter. I got to sleep in today, I only have a 6 hour shift and tomorrow I am going to the Animal Kingdom with Beth and Bree before work. Life down here couldn't be better.

Stupid Gay Day

Conidering that I had a 12 hour shift today, I am suprisingly not wiped out. I am sort of annoyed but that isn't really about work.

Today was the start of Gay Days in the parks. It lasts until Saturday. Totally infuriatiting. Not because of the people who are gay but because people as a group are stupid. Most of the individual gays were fine, it was the large groups that I wanted to scream at. One group came in and chanted "Gay, Gay, GAY!" over and over to anyone not in a red shirt (red is apparently the colors of the gays, at least on gay days). It just made me mad that these people had no respect for people not like them. Especially since we're at a child friendly park. There was absoulutly no reason for that.

About work: My 12 hour shift FLEW by. Of the 12 hours, I had a 1 hour break, 2 hours of slowness, and 9 hours of non-stop busy periods. At least that made the shift fly. I think I lost another 10 pounds today from running back and forth and sweating. At least I got to work in the Front of the House, which is my favorite position. I made new friends at work today and teased my friends I already had while they teased me. Marvelous work day minus the idiots. But you get those everywhere so it's to be expected. I didn't let them ruin my day so go me.

After my shift I laughed. I got a voicemail from Mantha that was high pitched, deafening and almost unintelligble. It screamed at me that "I GOT A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" There were probably more exclamation points in there but you get the idea. I'm so happy for her. I'll have to try to call her tomorrow to talk about that. Not sure how that's going to work since I have another 11 hour day tomorrow. Yay for overtime/time and a half for me!

Regarding Bailey: after work I got a text message from Bailey, after the voicemail from Mantha. It stated that Bailey quit her job. I'm glad because she has been miserable at that job for over a month. Being miserable just isn't worth it. There are many other opportunities out there for her. I'm proud that she quit; she sounded so ecstatic. She promised to call me tomorrow with more details. Yipee I get to talk to Bailey!!!!!!!!!

Well, my roommates should be back soon and they promised to make me cookies when they got back. That's what they went out for, stuff to make cookies. I consider that a great way to end the day. And since I worked off some weight I think I deserve a cookie or two. This might not be the best way to lose weight, but at the rate I'm going I might need the help not to become a stick or some such thing. Well, that's all for now. Byes!

Day Off Take 2

I love having days off. I won't get one until Wednesday and that doesn't really count since I have class for 4 hours that day. Anyways...

Today I went to Disney Hollywood Studios (previously known as MGM) with Abby. This was the beginning of Star Wars weekends; they last all through June. So when we got there, Storm Troppers were on the roof of the front gate and they talked while pointing their guns at us. It was entertaining. Especially watching the little boys around. They were fun to watch because they got so excited about the Star Wars stuff.

Abby and I got to go on a lot of stuff. We rode the new Toy Story ride. It's similar to the Buzz Lightyear ride only its in 3-D. We also rode Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster, The Great Movie Ride (I wasn't really impressed with that one), Star Tours and we watched the Beauty and the Beast show as well as the Indiana Jones show. Overall, it was a great day. However, it was SO sunny and hot I think I lost another pant size just from sweating.

Speaking of pants sizes, in a month I have lost one pant size! It makes me so happy!!!! Yay for me :D

The rest of the day was just chilling with Abby and vegetating while watching Friends with Bree. I also got to talk to Bailey tonight and that made me smile. And no matter what Matt might believe, Indiana Jones will always be hotter than Bailey. No offense Bailey but boys will always be hotter to me. Though I do like that Matt finds you hotter than a boy. That is extremly encouraging.

Ok, I think that's all I have. Now I'm going to go to sleep so that I can make it through my 11.5 hour shift tomorrow. Byes!!!

A Break

Wow. Having a break from the running around like a mad woman was wonderful.

I tried to sleep in today but that failed. You see, 4 days ago, the maintenance guys came to "fix" one of the bathrooms in the apartment. They fixed it so well that the door wouldn't shut! Well, they had 3 days to fix it while we were all at work and not here but NO they come on the one day that 4 of us get to sleep in. So we all woke up a little grumpyily...

Anywho, the rest of the day was a blast. I hung out with my trainer from work who is now my best friend down here. She told me that she had been praying for a while to have a good friend while she was here. And she found me while I found her! Yay!!!

So, Rachel and I went shopping a lot. I got to talk to Matt while I was out which made me happy. At Ross, I found a cute blue dress, not quite a club dress though. So at Old Navy, I found myself a black sequeny club dress and capris that are actually capris on me!!! Wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!
For lunch, Rachel and I went to the Macaroni Grill because she had never been there before. That was fun times.

Once we were done shopping we went to the Magic Kingdom and walked around, riding rides and just hanging out. I enjoyed it even though we didn't get to ride that much because it was long lines even though the park wasn't that crowed. Weird, but o well.

After that, me and Rachel and another friend from work Veronica went back to Rachel's apartment. We ordered pizza for dinner and decided not to go to PI because it was gay day which meant that it would be more crowded than normal and filled with gay people. So instead, once Adam (Rachel's crush :P) got there we played drinking games and just talked for the rest of the time.

Well, now Bree is back and needs to rant about her horrid day at work. So I'm going to be a good rooommate and go let her vent. Byes!!

Assesment

Ok, so my previous post was a tired post. No, the magic has not worn off, I was just worn out.

Anyways, today was my assesment day. That means the manager(s) "interview" me about my knowledge about my job in detail. If I pass it means I have earned my ears and I am no longer in training. I passed. During the assesment though, I was told to sit on my hands so I would stop raising them every time I knew an answer when it wasn't my turn to tell the manager the information that she asked.

Today was such an easy day. Pretty much all I did was sit with my trainer and review for the assesment, do a little bit of work to refresh our knowledge, go on break, have the assesment, and then I got off early. Yay ra!!!

Tomorrow is going to be a blast however. I have the day off, I get paid, I am going out with my trainer Rachel, who is AMAZING!, then going to PI (Pleasure Island in Disney slang). I am truly my mother; I am going out "drinking" with friends from work so that I can be the designated driver. It made me smile and laugh a little bit.

Right now, I have to go since we have inspection tomorrow. I have to help clean the apartment. My roommate Wendy is making dinner and I absoulutly love her for it.

P.S. Mom I hope this post had enough exclamation points to make you believe that Disney has not lost it's magic. I LOVE DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Training Day 2

So yesterday was fun. I got to work only to realize that they messed up my schedule for yesterday. I was scheduled to work until 12:45 but since I was training and had to learn how to close it was a sorry just kidding moment and they told me that I was working until 2. So I didn't get back to my apartment until after 3 and now I have an 8 hour shift starting at 11 which means I didn't get to sleep in. I barely got 5 hours of sleep. I'll post more tonight or tomorrow when I have more time. For now, I have to finish getting ready and head out to work.

Training Day 1

So yesterday was a great lot of fun.

I began my day by going to Chick Fil A with Bree, where they messed up her order but she got more food that way so it worked. Then we went to Target to get our shoes for work. For all black shoes, they are actually really cute and extremly comfortable. Plus, I spent half of what everyone at my job said they spent so I win. Yay me.

The next part of my day was going to the Magic Kingdom for my first day of training. I got there ridiculously early because I needed to go to Costuming to find the other parts of my costume that were unavailable or that I forgot the day before. Then I went to find my locker.

At my locker, I met the Fairy Godmother. She was very nice and she used to live in Crofton and her son still lives there. It made me very happy. After I checked my locker and dropped some of my stuff off, I went to the Mouseketeria to read my book for a little bit. I saw Aladdin, Aurora, Peter Pan and Jasmine.

Then I started my training with a little bump at the beginning. We signed up for the Disney Learning Center, so that we can check out resources if we need to. Then we went to Casey's (we being me, Jeremy and Amy the other 2 training with me and Rachel our trainer). At Casey's there was a bit of a problem. Costuming was out of the Casey's aprons which you must have to work. So we called and there was only one left. Since my group was training in the front of the house we got dibbs. So we took a field trip to costuming.

At costuming we went and asked for the apron. It was the same guy that we talked to on the phone and he said that there were no aprons. I really thought that my trainer might spontaneously combust at that point. The guy went in the back and found one and all was well with the world.

Then we went back to Casey's and began our actual training. I caught on really quick, as did the other 2. It's a fast paced area to work and there is no room for personal bubbles but I love it. The people I work with are fun, so far at least. One of the girls who works there, Sophia, hugged me a lot. It made me happy because I love hugs.

I didn't get off work until about 1:30 and didn't get back to my room until 2:30. I didn't even realize I was tired until I stopped moving. I guess that's a good thing.

So today, I have the same schedule for work as yesterday, tomorrow I work from 11 am to 7:30 pm and then I get 2 days off before working an 11.5 hour shift on Saturday. I will be very busy and it will be great.

Overview

So, today I had to get up at a time that I did not believe existed. I had to be up at 5 IN THE MORNING. That time has never existed in my world. O well, that will be the end of my early morning rant.

I had to be up so early so that I could go to my overview/walkthrough of the Magic Kingdom, my new place of employment! It was 5 hours walking through the park and the backstage area and then 3 hours of lunch, intro to my new job, a few videos and getting my costume.

The walking all day really didn't bother me. It was hot, but it could have been worse. As a group we got to ride the Haunted Mansion and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger ride. That was fun and air conditioned. I am coming to appreciate air conditioning a heck of a lot more than I used to. Go figure.

Backstage was amazing. I got to see 8 characters without their costumes. It was kind of weird. I saw Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Alice, Ariel, Jasmine, and Wendy. Totally weird. It still made me happy even though it was a little odd.

So, I am officially working at Casey's Corner, a hot dog shop on North Main Street. My costume is a baseball looking uniform. I actually wanted to work here. I can pull of baseball cap and uniform. I think I look kinda cute in my new costume. That's a perk because a lot of people think they look hideous in their costumes.

My first day of training is tomorrow from 16:30 (we go by military time here; for those who don't know what that means, I am starting at 4:30 pm) and my shift lasts until 24:45 (aka 12:45 am). At least I get to sleep in. I have to go into the park kind of early to get the rest of my uniform; I forgot to get my special socks and they were out of aprons. O well. At least I won't be late. Because if you are even a minute late to clock in you get in trouble. So I will never be late. Ever!

Last night, I went to Epcot for a little bit with Abby and we met up with Wendy. We didn't get to see much since there is SO much at Epcot. But we have plenty of time to see it all.

I have to go get my shoes sometime tomorrow or tonight. I get 50% off at Payless so I need to find that. Shouldn't be a problem. I'm excited about my discount!!!!

I think that's all for now. I will follow up with more updates later.
